Construction Updates
Marriott’s Shadow Ridge - Villages will be undergoing an interior villa renovation Apr. 27, 2026 to Nov. 19, 2026. Please anticipate construction noise during daytime hours. Amenities are expected to remain open.
Cashless Resort
Limited cash is accepted at the Front Desk. Credit cards and room charges are the only acceptable forms of payment at other locations.
Service Animal Policy
Service animals that perform work or tasks are welcome at this resort, but family pets are not permitted. Bringing a pet to the resort will result in a room recovery fee. In the event we discover that you have brought a pet to the resort, you will be charged a room recovery fee in the amount of $500 per pet and you will be asked to take your pet to a local, third-party boarding facility. Please be aware that in some locations, misrepresenting a pet as a service animal is a misdemeanor and may result in a monetary penalty and/or imprisonment. Emotional support animals and comfort animals are not recognized as assistance or service animals under the law. Fraudulently representing a dog as a guide, signal or service dog is a crime under California Penal Code 365.7(a).
General Property Updates
Marriott’s Shadow Ridge endeavors to support our community through a unique and thoughtful donation campaign called “Donating Socks Rocks.” Our goal is to partner with Owners, guests, and associates to gather 10,000 pairs of new socks throughout the year to donate to various local shelters, community centers, and the like. Please assist us in donating any new or packaged socks by dropping your donations off at the Front Desk during your stay. Both Marriott's Shadow Ridge and the community thank you!
On-site parking
$30 daily per vehicle for all rental reservations. Parking fees are included for Owner stays and other vacation ownership package reservations.

The current status of resort amenities and services is subject to change at any time. Please continue to check this website frequently for updates prior to your upcoming reservation. Resort Shuttle will have limited service. Oversized vehicles, RVs, and Trailers are not allowed on the resort grounds. The fireplaces in the Villages complex have been turned off due to safety precautions. Our fire pits on site continue to remain operational.

I enjoyed Robert’s place. It was ground level and had a view of the golf course. He was responsive. Marriott was helpful during the stay as well Robert was easily reached but we never needed his help. The Condo was as advertised and very comfortable and shipshape. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the wildlife visiting the pond including ducks, birds, geese, a heron and a very hungry coyote! Jeannette

This is the Marriott Shadow Ridge - The Villages. It’s part of their timeshare business, but I didn’t have anyone trying to sell me anything. Check in was generally easy, and the room was large. No housekeeping, but that didn’t matter much for us. I generally found the property to be roughly what you expect out of a Marriott. Good jumping off point for Joshua Tree.
