Construction Updates
Beginning May 18, 2024, to Nov. 20, 2024, Baja Point at Westin Los Cabos will be undergoing villa refurbishment. Work will occur daily during daytime hours, so please anticipate construction noise during this time. All other resort amenities are expected to remain open and fully operational for your enjoyment.
Beginning Jun. 14, 2024, through Dec. 21, 2024, the resort will undergo villa refurbishment. Construction will occur during daytime hours, and guests may experience some noise. However, all other resort amenities will remain open and fully operational for your enjoyment. Thank you for your understanding.
The Westin Vacation Club Los Cabos Resort will undergo exterior paint and repair work on all buildings from Jul. 1, 2024, to Nov. 30, 2024. Kindly expect construction noise during business hours.

As of January 15, 2023, by government decree, smoking is prohibited in all areas of the hotel, the beach area, and transit areas in common with other guests. Exclusive areas for smoking will be identified in the hotel’s map if located within the property.
Service Animal Policy
Service animals that perform work or tasks are welcome at this resort, but family pets are not permitted. Bringing a pet to the resort will result in a room recovery fee. In the event we discover that you have brought a pet to the resort, you will be charged a room recovery fee in the amount of $500 per pet and you will be asked to take your pet to a local, third-party boarding facility.
Please be aware that in some locations, misrepresenting a pet as a service animal is a misdemeanor and may result in a monetary penalty and/or imprisonment.
General Property Updates
The Mexican state of Baja California Sur assesses a hospitality tax that is due upon check-out. The tax — charged in Mexican pesos — is subject to currency conversion with your banking institution and subject to change without prior notice.
Effective February 28, 2023, all hotels in Los Cabos municipality collect the Derecho de Saneamiento Ambiental at the moment of check-in or upon check-out. It is up to 145.20 pesos per room per night. Certain Bonvoy benefits do not apply at this resort.
